A day, then a week, then a Term, the 60 or the 90.

A day

Your day is set around your hours.

Nobody is given somebody else's day. Yours is worked back from the time you leave for work.

Start late and more of the day moves to before work. Hours outside this clock are still read, and every day keeps time of your own.

    Reveille. You rise

    With time to make the bed, wash, dress and eat a quick breakfast.

    In writing, in the form you were given.

    You go and live your day

    Work, people, the world outside. Yours. Nothing is asked of you inside your work or your journey.

    You say you are in

    And your officer hands you the evening.

    What the day holds

    A meal, a read, your Conditioning, the exercise you are set, and your Trade. You know the day holds them. You do not know when each is asked.

    The standard may be checked

    You get minutes of notice. It never comes during your work and it does not come every day.

    Time built in for you

    Every day is built around time to put Greywell down and just be a person. It is never taken.

    Curfew muster

    You account for the day and you are told what tomorrow holds.

    Curfew

    In bed, the lights out and the day over. Sleep itself is never measured and a bad night is never a failure.

That is 1 day. A Term is many of them and it does not stay the same.

A Term

More is asked of you as it goes.

A Term has 3 phases. They move with the calendar and your conduct. And they never move backwards.

Scenes

From phase 2 there are scenes. A scene is a bounded stretch that you enter by choice. It is opened and closed aloud and care follows it. Scenes are offered and never sexual, and declining one costs nothing.

A scene can earn you something and can never cost you anything. You find out what they are when you get there.

Standard or Strict

Your welfare is identical on both. That covers the safewords, rest, the care afterwards and the way out.

How you are kept safe

That is the shape. What it asks of you is The Duty.
